Job Description
As a Zonal Manager in the Diagnostics Industry, you will be responsible for providing strategic leadership and operational oversight for a designated zone. This key role involves managing and optimizing the performance of multiple regions within the larger territory, driving sales, ensuring operational excellence, and fostering strong relationships with key stakeholders.
Responsibilities
Strategic Leadership:
Develop and implement comprehensive strategic plans for the assigned zone to achieve business objectives, sales targets, and market share growth. Analyze market trends, competitor activities, and customer needs to inform strategic decision-making.
Sales and Business Development:
Lead and guide regional managers in developing and executing effective sales and business development strategies. Foster relationships with key clients,
healthcare institutions, and other stakeholders to enhance market presence.
Operational Excellence:
Oversee the operational activities of multiple regions, ensuring the efficient and accurate delivery of diagnostic services. Collaborate with regional managers to optimize processes, resource allocation, and quality control measures.
Team Management:
Recruit, train, and mentor a high-performing team of regional managers, sales professionals, and other staff within the zone. Create a positive and collaborative work environment, promoting teamwork and accountability.
Budget and Financial Management:
Develop and manage budgets for the entire zone, monitoring financial performance and implementing cost-effective measures.
Analyze financial reports and take corrective actions to ensure budgetary targets are met.
Quality Assurance:
Ensure strict adherence to quality control measures and regulatory requirements across all regions within the zone. Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance the quality of diagnostic testing and reporting.
Market Analysis and Reporting:
Conduct regular market analysis to stay informed about industry trends, competitive landscapes, and customer preferences within the zone. Prepare and submit comprehensive reports on zone
performance, sales achievements, and operational metrics.
Collaboration and Communication:
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including marketing, R&D, and customer support, to align strategies and achieve common goals. Communicate effectively with senior management, providing updates on zone activities and performance.
Qualifications & Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Life Sciences, or a related field. MBA or equivalent advanced degree is highly desirable.
Extensive experience in a leadership role within the diagnostics industry, demonstrating success in zonal management and business development.
In-depth knowledge of diagnostic testing processes, regulatory requirements, and industry best practices.
Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
Analytical mindset with the ability to make strategic decisions based on market insights and data.
Willingness to travel within the zone and to the corporate office as required.
